From the mood board I began collag-ing, cutting, distorting and combining pictures which I thought were visually interesting and capture what the space could look like.
It was a really fast way of getting ideas out that were a bit more than a sketch. I was able to see what colours worked well, what interesting configurations could be made and experiment with textures.
This has been a useful tool and would like to include it in my future design process. From the mood board to Photoshop sketches enables you to really focus on what has inspired you. I believe it would give a clear direction of where the design is heading, and in design meeting able to pick out with a director what works and what does not.
